Exemplary service at EPF Sungai Petani

I HAVE visited many government department­s throughout the country over the past four decades but none has impressed me as much as the EPF branch office at Sungai Petani with their quality of service. The government employees I encounter are usually unfriendly, rude, slow or very unhelpful.

I have visited this EPF office on many occasions for various reasons over the years. Every time I visit, I am totally pleased and impressed with the service I receive. The staff are cheerful, polite, entertaini­ng, helpful and fast. I also noticed that they do not waste time gossiping.

I went to this office again recently to ask about the dividend for 2017 which, I thought, had not been credited to my account.

The office was crowded and I was wondering whether to take a queue number when I saw a cheerful Malay lady walking out of her office. I greeted her and explained the purpose of visit.

Even though it looked like she had something else to do, she cheerfully came to my assistance after scanning the crowd. She invited me into her office and after asking for my identity card, she printed out the required statements and gave me a detailed explanatio­n. I was totally pleased with her answers and most of all her profession­al attitude.

It would indeed be very unfair of me if I didn’t express my appreciati­on to all the staff, including this lady, at the Sungai Petani EPF office for their superb service. I strongly suggest that other government department­s and agencies send their staff to this office to observe and learn how to provide quality service to the public.

Good job and keep it up, EPF Sungai Petani.
