Minister opens international school
EDUCATION Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid opened MAHSA International School (MISKL) in Bandar Saujana Putra, Selangor recently.
Established in September 2017, MAHSA International School is an affiliation of MAHSA Group.
The birth of MISKL underscores MAHSA’s commitment to becoming the region’s centre of education excellence and ensuring the holistic development of the nation’s future leaders and contributors.
MISKL aims to develop a deep appreciation for knowledge and lifelong learning through its Early Years (for those aged three to five), Primary School (aged five to 11) and Secondary School (aged 11 to 16) syllabus.
MAHSA Group managing director Datuk Dr Shahril Mohamed Haniffa took the opportunity to show Mahdzir around the school. They visited the state-of-theart design and tech lab, spa- cious classrooms, a children’s indoor gym and modern sports facilities.
A special convocation was also held by MAHSA University to confer an honorary doctorate to Mahdzir for his contributions in the education field.
MAHSA University pro-chancellor and chairman Tan Sri Dr Ismail Merican presented the welcome address.
MAHSA pro-chancellor and executive chairman Prof Tan Sri Dr Mohamed Haniffa Abdullah delivered the citation acknowledging Mahdzir’s accomplishments and contributions in education.
Mahdzir made his acceptance speech followed by a vote of thanks speech by MAHSA University vicechancellor and CEO Prof Datuk Dr Khairul Anuar Abdullah.
Also present at the ceremony were academic and administrative staff as well as students.
