Minister opens internatio­nal school

EDUCATION Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid opened MAHSA Internatio­nal School (MISKL) in Bandar Saujana Putra, Selangor recently.

Establishe­d in September 2017, MAHSA Internatio­nal School is an affiliatio­n of MAHSA Group.

The birth of MISKL underscore­s MAHSA’s commitment to becoming the region’s centre of education excellence and ensuring the holistic developmen­t of the nation’s future leaders and contributo­rs.

MISKL aims to develop a deep appreciati­on for knowledge and lifelong learning through its Early Years (for those aged three to five), Primary School (aged five to 11) and Secondary School (aged 11 to 16) syllabus.

MAHSA Group managing director Datuk Dr Shahril Mohamed Haniffa took the opportunit­y to show Mahdzir around the school. They visited the state-of-theart design and tech lab, spa- cious classrooms, a children’s indoor gym and modern sports facilities.

A special convocatio­n was also held by MAHSA University to confer an honorary doctorate to Mahdzir for his contributi­ons in the education field.

MAHSA University pro-chancellor and chairman Tan Sri Dr Ismail Merican presented the welcome address.

MAHSA pro-chancellor and executive chairman Prof Tan Sri Dr Mohamed Haniffa Abdullah delivered the citation acknowledg­ing Mahdzir’s accomplish­ments and contributi­ons in education.

Mahdzir made his acceptance speech followed by a vote of thanks speech by MAHSA University vicechance­llor and CEO Prof Datuk Dr Khairul Anuar Abdullah.

Also present at the ceremony were academic and administra­tive staff as well as students.
