I may consider offers from other parties, says Gan

RAWANG: Her being in the middle of a controversy has not stopped other parties from courting Rawang assemblyman Gan Pei Nei, who claims to have been approached after PKR dropped her.

“I may consider the offer from other parties, but for now, I want to stay calm and composed,” she said, adding that she will hold a press conference today to announce her decision on her political future.

On Monday, Gan claimed she was the victim of a poison pen letter.

Gan, who broke down in tears during a press conference, was angry at being accused of misusing allocations.

Gan said she had not seen the letter and that PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail had told her about it a few days ago.

“If I get hold of this letter, I will make a police report as this is libel against me and my family. I did not misuse any funds,” she said.

She also felt that infighting in the party caused her to be dropped.

Gan was replaced as the Rawang candidate by Chua Wei Kiat, a Selayang municipal councillor.
