Children foundation receives RM520,000
KUALA LUMPUR: The Dignity for Children Foundation has received the Sharjah International Award for Refugee Advocacy and Support (Siara) worth US$136,000 (RM520,800) for its efforts in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa region.
According to Bernama, the Malaysian non-profit organisation provides educational services to about 1,100 refugees, stateless people, undocumented students and other marginalised groups in Kuala Lumpur.
The Siara award is organised by The Big Heart Foundation in collaboration with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
