Children foundation receives RM520,000

KUALA LUMPUR: The Dignity for Children Foundation has received the Sharjah Internatio­nal Award for Refugee Advocacy and Support (Siara) worth US$136,000 (RM520,800) for its efforts in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa region.

According to Bernama, the Malaysian non-profit organisati­on provides educationa­l services to about 1,100 refugees, stateless people, undocument­ed students and other marginalis­ed groups in Kuala Lumpur.

The Siara award is organised by The Big Heart Foundation in collaborat­ion with United Nations High Commission­er for Refugees.
