Heartiest congratulations to Datuk Faridah Merican on being conferred an honorary doctorate in arts by Taylor’s University. I am really honoured to have acted in your play Lela Mayang (a very small role) staged at the Old Town Hall, Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur, in the 60s. I still remember your “hero” then – the well-known and famous radio/ TV sports/newscaster Datuk Rahim Razali. God bless our First Lady of Malaysian Theatre forever. – P. Pakira, Johor Baru
