Hou’s a true gentleman on campaign rounds
JOHOR BARU: Staying calm and professional is key to ensuring the intense general election campaign remains trouble-free, says MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Hou Kok Chung.
“I just look after my part and this is the same with the other two candidates where we work on our own, instead of going against each other,” said the Barisan Nasional Tebrau parliamentary candidate.
“We should be professional and be gentlemen without any personal attack on other candidates.”
Dr Hou said that as campaigning reached its halfway mark, he was using all available resources to ensure that he was able to reach out to as many voters as possible.
“Tebrau is such a big area, with more than 123,000 voters.
“But my campaign has been going very well and according to plan,” he said at Taman Setia Indah here on Thursday night.
Dr Hou, 55, is also using social media as a tool to connect with the people.
“The people in Tebrau are also focused on national issues but at the same time, they want to know more about our future plans for this parliamentary seat,” he said.
Dr Hou is defending the Tebrau parliamentary seat won by MCA at the last general election.
The challengers are PKR’s Steven Choong and Johor PAS commissioner Abdullah Husin.
