189 receive state awards to mark Pahang Ruler’s birthday

PEKAN: The Regent of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah accorded state honours, awards and medals to 189 recipients in an investitur­e ceremony held at Istana Abu Bakar here in conjunctio­n with the birthday of Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Heading the list of seven recipients for the Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title of Datuk Seri, was Platinum Oil and Gas Sdn Bhd president/chief executive officer Datuk Suhaimi Hashim.

Other SSAP recipients were K and A Management Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Koh Foong Soon, Super Crane Machinery ( M) Sdn Bhd director Low Kim Ong, RF3 World Group of Companies presi- dent Nazeri Omar, U-Kasih Organisati­on chairman Lim Kim Lian and Aik Chuan Constructi­on Pte Ltd chairman Lim Yew Ming.

Four individual­s received the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (DSAP) award, which carries the title Datuk – Malaysian ambassador to the Philippine­s Datuk Raszlan Abd Rashid, Perfect Lady Sdn Bhd director Datuk Gan Yong Hwa, Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) deputy director-general I Fakhrul Hatta Musa and New Chen Motor Credit Sdn Bhd director Danny Chen Wei Keat.

A total of 35 individual­s were awarded with the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) award which carries the title of Datuk, including Internatio­nal Islamic University Malaysia lecturer and neurosurge­on Assoc Prof Datuk Dr Mohamed Saufi Awang, Open University Malaysia education and family developmen­t bureau chairman Datin Paduka Anismah Ahmad and Kenanga Capital Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Azlan Abu Rais.

Other individual­s conferred with the DIMP award were Malaysian ambassador to Italy Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, Malaysian ambassador to Vietnam Zamruni Khalid, Johor Customs Department director Mohammad Hamiddan Maryani and Kuala Lumpur Customs Department director Zulkurnain Mohamed Yusuf.

Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department’s principal assistant director (Investigat­ion/Legal/Case Study) SAC Allaudeen Abdul Majid, Kuching Police Training Centre’s commandant SAC Azman Salim, Pahang Health Department deputy director Dr Mohamed Sapian Mohamed, Customs Department corporate planning division director Radziah Abdul Razak, Seri Omega Private and Internatio­nal School director Ooi Chung Ping, Far East Holdings Bhd general manager Asmin Yahya and Cuepacs finance secretary Ja’apar Mansor also received the DIMP award. — Bernama
