Former PM checks health, says all is normal

-

PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak underwent a health check at his home in Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur, over the weekend, it is learnt.

Yesterday, Najib tweeted a photo of himself undergoing a blood pressure test.

“Undergoing a routine heath check last night (Saturday).

“Everything was normal. In this Ramadan month, we will surely be tested by all kinds of ordeals. May we be blessed and protected by Allah,” he tweeted.

Najib left his residence yesterday to attend a series of events in Pekan, Pahang.

The former Umno president, who is also Pekan MP, left his home in a white Toyota Vellfire at 9.20am.

Investigators have been searching properties linked to Najib and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor since last Wednesday, including the couple’s private residence in Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur, and two luxury condo units in Pavilion Residences, also in the capital.

The official residence of the prime minister in Seri Perdana and the Prime Minister’s Office in Putra Perdana, both in Putrajaya, are also being combed.

Police previously confiscated items including several truckloads of boxes reportedly containing luxury Hermes, Chanel and Gucci handbags and suitcases with cash in various currencies.

The police raids are believed to be linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd investigations.
