Husam and Rahim join K’tan blacklist
Duo not allowed to enter palaces, govt offices
KOTA BARU: Parti Amanah Negara leaders Husam Musa and Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah are among 35 individuals, including members of the royal family, who are barred from entering palaces and state government premises in Kelantan.
The two were the latest to be blacklisted in five years.
Others blacklisted include Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V’s brother Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, Umno veteran Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and Perkasa president Datuk Ibrahim Ali.
Kelantan State Secretary Datuk Nazran Muhamad said Husam and Abdul Rahim were barred from entering the palaces, the Kota Darulnaim government office complex, and all state departments and agencies effective immediately.
The palaces include Istana Balai Besar, Istana Negeri, Istana Telipot, Istana Kota Lama, Istana Tumpat and Istana Persinggahan Gua Musang.
Nazran said the circular dated May 27 were distributed to more than 2,000 government officers on Monday.
“Disciplinary action will be taken against civil servants who defy the order,” said Nazran.
Stressing that he was following orders, Nazran said if there were any pressing matters to attend to, those affected could request for special permission.
The palace recently stripped Husam and Abdul Rahim of their Datukship. When contacted, Abdul Rahim said he accepted the decision with an open heart.
