Fasting gives Tan more energy

It’s also a ‘good way to cleanse toxins in my body’

ACTRESS Elizabeth Tan (pic) is fasting during Ramadan this year as she believes it can make her more energetic, Utusan Malaysia reported.

She wants to fast for the whole month this time. Last year she fasted for just a few days.

“Fasting makes me more energetic and I think it is a good way to cleanse the toxins in my body. I am not doing this just to follow others and it does not affect my daily routine,” she said.

Tan, who is also a singer, shared that she wants to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with her Malay artiste friends.

Tan also said she will be releasing a new single in July after a one-year hiatus from the music industry.

> The Welfare Department has urged the public to help to locate the biological mothers or the family members of two baby girls, who are three months old and 21 days old, Sinar Harian reported.

These two babies were left without any identity documents.

Siti Nurlina Sarman, an officer from its Subang Jaya office, said the three-month-old baby girl, known as Nur Nadia Raisya, was given to a woman named Wahyuni in Mentari Court in March.

Born on Feb 25, it is believed Nur Nadia was sent to a clinic in Petaling Jaya by her mother named Sarah.

“The mother did not provide her identity card, which is why the baby has no birth certificate. And the mother has disappeared,” said Siti Nurlina.

She said the department is also tracing the next of kin of another baby girl named Hannah Aleeza, who was left in the baby hatch at the front gate of Orphanage Foundation Petaling Jaya.

“There was an accompanying note stating the baby’s name as ‘Aleeza’, with the date May 17, 2018 and said her religion is Islam. There was a milk bottle and two RM50 notes with her,” Siti said.
