OnOff and GIII unveil impressive new line-ups

ONOFF Golf are in the throes of consolidat­ing their position in the local market and have launched a new line of equipment to coincide with the announceme­nt.

OnOff, a subsidiary of the Japan giant Daiwa, sent a team to Kuala Lumpur who made the announceme­nt. They were Overseas Sales senior manager Ryoji Mori, Sporting Goods Division manager Shinobu Kobayashi, Overseas Marketing manager Tario Cham and Overseas Sales manager Reiji Hirano.

Their general view was that they are happy with their market share, but were also looking to bolster the brand and find new ways to become more visible.

The Kuala Lumpur event was also marked with the launch of the seventh generation of GIII Daiwa golf equipment.

“We have had a long lasting partnershi­p in Malaysia and with the new OnOff and GIII lines, we are excited about what lies ahead,” said Tario

“We have had 20-year partnershi­p with MST Golf in Malaysia and we appreciate the fact that they are a vibrant company and also the largest and best retail golf chain in this country.

“So far as Daiwa is concerned, we believe we have the best part- ner in the business here and we look forward to forging a stronger relationsh­ip with them in the golf industry,” added Tario.

Tario gave a brief insight into when and how the parent company started and also spoke about the new AKA line from OnOff. He touched too on the latest GIII range that draws on over 45 years of golf club manufactur­ing experience. Both lines feature drivers, fairway woods, utility clubs and irons.

Commenting on the new 2018 AKA line, Tario said it was an allnew design crafted for better distance and more forgivenes­s.

“This AKA series comes with a new two-tone crown with a metallic navy colour and satin topline, and has some key improvemen­ts incorporat­ed in several areas.”

“The new GIII clubs feature flowing lines and intricate design accents showcasing Japanese art and craftsmans­hip.” added Tario.
