Platform to share knowledge
THE Association of Malaysian Students in Beijing (AMSIB) has successfully organised the AMSIB Challenge Case Competition with the theme “Business Transformation, Exploring New Paradigm” in Beijing.
The competition was opened to Malaysian students from all over China.
From all teams that submitted their business proposals, five teams from Peking University, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiaotong University were shortlisted to compete in the final round.
The AMSIB Challenge focuses on aspects of the e-commerce industry in Malaysia.
The finalists presented constructive suggestions and solutions in the competition, with bright ideas and data to support their arguments. The challenge started off with speeches by Godwin Cheng from Lei Shing Hong Auto (China) Management Co. Ltd, Education Malaysia Beijing director Aziz How and AMSIB president Chloe Tang.
Besides the competition, AMSIB also invited Jeff Lok and Allan Yau to have sharing sessions on their experiences in cloud computing, storage and communication.
Tang said the challenge offered a platform for Malaysian students studying in China to showcase their knowledge and exchange ideas so that they can practise what they have learned.
The challenge was sponsored by Lei Shing Hong Auto (China) Management Co. Ltd.
The first prize was won by Lai Ting Yew, Low Yee Hao, XianDi Ooi and Vivian Lee from Peking University.
The second and third prizes were won by Han Li Hui, Lee Kun Kheng, Lim Ji Hong and Heng Yong Siang and Ng Yi Jen, Liao Ting Hui, Chong Ying Ying and Kang Xiao Wei from Peking University and Tsinghua University respectively.
