-

KUALA LUMPUR: The Petronas Coffee Break campaign returns to encourage motorists to take regular breaks and refresh themselves before continuing on their balik kampung journey.

For the pre- and post-Raya journey, on June 12, 13, 23 and 24, motorists stopping at any of the 150 participating Petronas stations will be treated to complimentary coffee and snacks to help them stay fresh and alert.

To further encourage safe driving, Petronas Dagangan Bhd is introducing the #CoffeeBreak Challenge via Katsana’s DriveMark mobile application, where users with exemplary driving behaviour will stand a chance to win up to RM300 worth of Mesra points.

DriveMark keeps track of one’s driving behaviour where safe driving actions contribute to higher scores and vice versa.

Petronas Dagangan managing director and CEO Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin said: “Road safety is one of our highest priorities and we would like to encourage customers to have breaks during their long journeys to ensure they remain alert.

During the campaign, the Road Safety Department will carry out a programme to educate the public on road safety.

To further reinforce the safety message, Proton and Perodua owners will receive complimentary vehicle inspections to ensure their cars are in tip-top condition.

Additionally, there will be free health checks by St John Ambulance of Malaysia.
