Andy Lau wishes wife is pregnant again

HONG Kong superstar Andy Lau (pic) has brushed off talk that his Malaysianborn wife Carol Chu is pregnant, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh.

“How I wish the news about my wife’s pregnancy is true. I have been trying every night,” he said during an appreciation night for his fans in Hong Kong recently.

Many claimed that Chu, 52, was pregnant after she and Lau attend- ed their six- year- old daughter Hanna’s kindergarten graduation ceremony on June 6.

Eyewitnesses said Chu could be five months pregnant as her protruding belly was “clearly visible”.

Thousands of fans attended the appreciation night. The highlight was a cake-cutting ceremony where Chu, Hanna and family members went on stage to meet the fans.

During the event, Lau presented medals to those who have supported him for 10, 20 and 30 years.

He also thanked his fans for their continuous support.

His three former bandmates – drummer Yip Sai Wing, bassist Wong Ka Keong and guitarist Paul Wong – wished him happy birthday on social media.

Ka Kui died at the age of 31 after a tragic accident while filming a skit for a Japanese comedy show in 1993.

Yip posted on the Weibo microblogging platform: “Ka Kui, happy birthday” while Paul wrote: “Friend, happy birthday.”

Ka Keong, who is Ka Kui’s younger brother, posted a picture of him with the wax figure of Ka Kui at Madame Tussauds museum in Beijing, wishing him happy birthday.
