Noorkhiria­h happy to play ‘Aishah’ despite brickbats

ACTRESS Noorkhiria­h (pic) said she enjoyed playing “Aishah” in the drama series Nur despite getting brickbats and negative messages on social media over her role, Metro Ahad reported.

“Everyday, I received nasty comments. I don’t take it seriously as this is just the way for viewers of the show to share their feelings about the character,” she said.

Noorkhiria­h said she was happy to play Aishah, adding that she had devoted much effort into it.

“I hope the audience is entertaine­d,” she said.

“We did not expect the drama series would receive such good response,” she said.

Up to episode 12, the series has recorded about nine million viewers.

Dr Mahathir, in previous interviews, had indicated that Anwar would be replacing him.

Known for ballads such as Menghitung Hari, the singer said she would be at Pulau Dewata.

“I am spending Hari Raya in Bali because my father is there,” she is quoted on Tribunnews.

However, her two children – Aurel and Azriel – are not with her this time.

“This time, they are following Anang (her former husband) in Java,” said the 43-year-old.
