Scha: I won’t let criticism affect me
Actress unfazed as hairdo draws flak
ACTRESS Scha Alyahya is not affected by the negative comments over her new hairstyle, reported Utusan Malaysia.
Scha, who now sports a stylish French bob, said she did not regret the decision.
“I am not doing something that is immoral. It’s just a haircut. I will not do something I do not like, and besides, if it was way too short, my husband may not have approved of it either.
“I understand if not everyone likes this image, but I am okay with accepting the views of others. I feel free,” she said.
Scha’s husband, television host Awal Ashaari, encouraged her to simply let people comment as they wished instead of closing off the comments section on her Instagram.
The actress said she could accept criticisms but not if they were made against her daughter Lara Alana.
“I was a little surprised when netizens began fighting in the comments section of my post.
“I noticed some of the negative comments came from children,” she said.
On her feature film after five years, Scha said she was excited to be featured alongside popular names like Erra Fazira, Sherry Al Hadad and Azhan Rani in the upcoming movie Bikin Filem.
The short hairdo she sports is also part of Scha’s efforts to bring to life her on-screen character Zarina, an aspiring actress who was raped by her own father.
