No tears, Rosmah tells supporters

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor told her supporters not to shed tears over her husband Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s ongoing corruption trial.

“Don’t ever cry. I don’t want anybody to cry.

“You all are made of better stuff,” she said at the Kuala Lumpur High Court yesterday.

Rosmah was greeting several women clad in red tudung.

One of them appeared to be close to tears, prompting Rosmah to hold out a forefinger and tell her not to let her tears fall.

Donning a beige baju kurung with floral print, Rosmah was seen briefly in the afternoon, several hours after court proceedings had begun.

Also spotted at the court were her children, Nooryana Najwa Najib and Norashman Najib, who were there to post bail.

Mohd Nizar Najib, one of Najib’s children from his first marriage to Tengku Puteri Zainah Tengku Eskandar, was also at the courthouse to lend support.

In yesterday’s proceedings, counsel Datuk K. Kumaraendran and Datuk Geethan Ram Vincent held watching brief for Rosmah.

Meanwhile, Sin Chew Daily reported that Rosmah might be arrested by the Malaysian AntiCorruption Commission (MACC) and charged as well, quoting a source from the anti-graft agency.

However, the source refused to reveal when action would be taken against her.

The source merely said “not now”.

Rosmah had her statement recorded over funds transfer, involving SRC International Sdn Bhd, at MACC on June 5.
