This was confirmed by Hashim Yusof, the

kadi who solemnised the marriage between the 41-year-old man and his child bride.

Hisham also explained to the man that he should register their marriage in Malaysia.

The marriage, which took place on June 18, went viral due to the bride’s tender age.

The paper also reported that Thailand’s Home Ministry had summoned the Narathiwat religious council for an explanation.

“It is understood that the ministry was satisfied with the explanation and their decision to call the officials was because the issue went viral on social media,” it said.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun

Razak, reported Kosmo!

Ellie said she was there to show her support by fighting for justice without expecting anything in return.

“We were not paid; don’t accuse me of taking money, makan dedak or so on.

“I am not someone who can be bought.

“What happened at the court was not planned. Everyone who was there just expressed the same feeling,” she said.
