Celebrity chefs show the way to a healthy brekkie

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but is it possible to kick-start the day with a healthy meal in these fast-paced times?

The answer is yes, according to Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, better known as Chef Wan, and Chef Darren Chin, who will not only prove it but pass on their tips and tricks at the Star Health Expo 2018 today.

Come pick up some great breakfast ideas from the two culinary experts at the first Live Great Healthy Brekkie Challenge during the expo.

The duo will also be the celebrity judges of the work of 12 finalists in the challenge, which will be held in collaboration with Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia.

Doreen Heng, marketing manager of Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia, said participants are challenged to prepare a healthy “no-cook” meal within a stipulated time.

“This can range from sandwiches to wraps and salads, and the celebrity chefs will guide the participants along.

“To commemorate event partner Great Eastern Life’s 110th anniversary, participants will be provided with 110 ingredients to work with,” she said.

Besides learning how to prepare healthy meals, visitors will also be able to dance to their hearts’ content through Sh’bam – an insanely addictive dance workout, or Zumba for a fitness party with a blend of Latin and international rhythms.

For those with body pains and skin problems, head to the IRCare Sdn Bhd booth for a free check.

IRCare strategic alliances director Jayse Ong said it provides Hi-Bliss Hydrogen Therapy for pain management, treatment and prevention of diseases.

There will also be a series of talks on contact lens-related problems, caring for joints, the debate around nutritional supplements and maintaining weight.
