Online rumours over man’s skin disease cut deep

-

A GRASS cutter who suffers from a painful skin disorder is upset over false viral reports that linked his condition to golden fireworms, purportedly found around Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan, Sinar Harian reported.

Mohamad Suhaimi Bain, 30, from Banting, Selangor, has endured skin irritation, pain, cracks, blisters and abscess for four months.

He said doctors only provided him a lotion to apply.

His friend Sumar Bajuri was upset over the spread of false stories that used Suhaimi’s picture and claimed his condition was due to the golden fireworm.

Usually about 10cm, fireworms reportedly have poisonous bristles which cause a painful burning sensation upon contact.

“We hope that the irresponsible spread of such false news will stop as it is affecting Suhaimi,” he said.

Suhaimi has been unable to work while his wife, Seri Yusnida Trorot, 32, struggles to pay his medical bills.

> After “disappearing” for six years, comedians Zizan Razak and Johan, (together known as Jozan) will host the Lawak Live programme on Astro Warna, starting July 24, reported Harian Metro.

The duo, both 34, said they were excited and grateful to be back.

Johan, whose full name is Mohd Yazid Lim Mohamad Aziz, said they wanted to reunite for some time but both had other commitments.
