-

A WOMAN driver accidentally reversed into her husband at the car porch, killing him on the spot, reported China Press.

The man, identified as Chen Zhao Yong, 68, was reading the newspapers at the house compound in Batu Gajah, Perak, during the freak accident.

It is believed that his 65-year-old wife had stepped on the accelerator by mistake during the 10.25am inci- dent on Tuesday.

The woman was parking the car after returning from the morning market.

A family member, who declined to be named, said the woman would need intense counselling to recover from the incident.

> Sin Chew Daily reported that a large number of concert tickets for Singaporean singer-songwriter JJ Lin on Sept 7 and 8 could have fall- en into the hands of scalpers.

It is learnt that scalped tickets are now openly sold on an unofficial ticketing website, with an RM888 ticket now being priced at RM4,914, which is 5.5 times higher.

The organiser, Unusual Entertainment, said it could not determine how many tickets were in the hands of scalpers.

A management staff of MyTicket. asia, the official ticketing site for the concert, said it had lodged a complaint with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

On Monday, Lin’s fans were upset because they failed to secure tickets for the Sanctuary World concert tour at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur.

The tickets were sold out within a day, and many believe they were gobbled up by scalpers.
