Man just wanted to help foundation but wins RM3mil instead

-

A MAN in his 30s struck gold after winning RM3mil in the Big Sweep lottery ticket, reported Sin Chew Daily.

He bought the ticket at a food court in Bayan Lepas.

Pan Malaysian Sweeps Sdn Bhd said the man just wanted to contribute to charity as all surpluses from Big Sweep would be donated to Yu Cai Foundation, a charitable organi sation dedicated to nurturing talent through education.

The daily reported that the man was unaware that he was the winner. It was only until Pan Malaysia Sweeps advertised in the local dailies that it was looking for the winner from Penang that the man realised he had won it.

> China Press reported that two secondary school students were caught in a compromising position several times at the staircase of a flat in Singapore.

A resident, who wished to be known as Wu, 34, said he saw the girl sitting on the boy’s lap on July 11.

“When my wife approached them to ask whether they were residents here, the girl replied ‘yes’.”

Another resident Chen Guan Ru, 31, said he had seen the couple behaving suspiciously at the staircase twice.

“My wife even filmed them performing intimate acts,” he said.

The daily also reported that the school authority had counselled the students about their action.

Their parents were also involved in the counselling session, said the school’s disciplinary teacher.
