Commenting on the annual three-day championship, organising chairperson Datuk Yasmin Yusuff said: “It always gives us great pleasure to welcome friends from around the region to Malaysia for another Ladies Amateur Open.
“This is the 44th year of the annual tournament and it is a particularly special occasion for us as we also mark the 125th anniversary of the club.
“We particularly want to inspire and embolden the youth to explore their golfing potential and we are proud to say that in recent years we have seen an increase in participation by junior golfers.
“The RSGC Ladies Amateur Open has established Kuala Lumpur as a launch pad for budding talent and lends to the growth of the game by continuing to attract the best regional amateurs in this field,” she added.
