-

A SCHOOL bus driver in Sungai Petani, Kedah, was charged with three counts of molestation against three children, aged 10, Berita Harian reported.

Mohd Yusoff Hassan, 49, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Sessions Court judge N. Priscilla Hemamalini.

According to the charge sheet, Mohd Yusoff was alleged to have committed the offences at three separate locations, one of which was near a school.

Deputy Public Prosecutor J. Savinder Singh did not offer bail to the accused, who was not represented.

However, bail was granted after the accused had told the judge that he had a heart condition and that he needed to go for treatments at a hospital.

The case was fixed for mention on Aug 16.

> Promising actress Aishah Azman wants to stand tall in the entertainment industry on her own and not depend on the celebrity status of her brother, Kosmo! reported.

“I entered the entertainment industry on my own accord without relying on my brother’s name or his assistance,” Aishah said.

She pointed out that the people found out about her brother, actor Afiq Muiz, from others.

“In the past, whenever I met up with people, I would never introduce myself as Afiq Muiz’s sister. In fact, they didn’t know,” she said.

But Aishah said she was thankful to her brother for constantly supporting and guiding her in the entertainment industry.

Several years ago, Afiq Muiz courted controversy after he reportedly shamed his mother during a press conference, causing the general public to label him as “rude and ungrateful”.
