School bus driver charged with molesting pupils

A SCHOOL bus driver in Sungai Petani, Kedah, was charged with three counts of molestation against three children, aged 10, Berita Harian reported.

Mohd Yusoff Hassan, 49, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Sessions Court judge N. Priscilla Hemamalini.

According to the charge sheet, Mohd Yusoff was alleged to have committed the offences at three separate locations, one of which was near a school.

Deputy Public Prosecutor J. Savinder Singh did not offer bail to the accused, who was not represented.

However, bail was granted after the accused had told the judge that he had a heart condition and that he needed to go for treatments at a hospital.

The case was fixed for mention on Aug 16.
