> A primary school’s deputy headmaster was arrested for raping an 18-year-old girl in a hotel in Leizhou, Guangdong province in China on Aug 12, Sin Chew Daily reported. Police arrested the man at the hotel at 6pm on the same day after receiving a report from the victim’s family members.

The incident came to light after a video of the victim’s family members scolding the man in the hotel room surfaced.

The family members seemed to have ambushed the man at the hotel. He was naked in the video.

“How could you do this? You are supposed to be educating the students,” a man was heard scolding the deputy headmaster.

It was also reported that the girl was raped by the headmaster at several locations since primary school and police investigation was ongoing.

> China Press reported that a lady, who ordered fruits online through Ele.me app in Beijing, China, wrote on her Weibo (Chinese Twitter) that the delivery man introduced himself as the food delivery platform’s chief executive officer.

She teased the man, saying that if he was Ele.me CEO Wang Lei, then she was (Alibaba founder and executive chairman) Jack Ma.

Her husband then did a search on the Internet and discovered that the man was indeed who he claimed to be.

After she shared the story online, the official account of Ele.me left a comment on her post, saying that Wang Lei decided to give delivery a try as he believed that a good superior must understand the hardship of the delivery crew.

Alibaba Group acquired Ele.me in April this year.
