GEORGE TOWN: Nearly eight months after Australian Annapuranee Jenkins disappeared, her children are continuing to fly here determined to find their mother.

She disappeared without a trace last Dec 13 and her children have returned to Malaysia 10 times searching nearly the whole country for her without success.

Despite a reward of RM20,000 offered by her family since February, no one has offered any information and police have not been able to find any leads.

“My sister and I are doing one last coverage of the whole of Malaysia to try and find mum.

“It will be the last one we can do for awhile because we can no longer afford coming here often to force the police to do something.

“The flights, money for posters, advertise- ments and so on have killed us financially,” Annapuranee’s son, who wished to be known as S. Jenkins, told The Star.

He renewed the family’s plea for anyone with clues to her whereabouts to help them.

In December, the 66-year-old came to Penang with husband Frank when she went for a dental appointment and to visit her aged mother who lived in Little Sisters of the Poor home in Ayer Itam.

She took a ride-sharing car to the home but the driver told police that she asked to be dropped off 3km from the home, near the Jalan Scotland-Jalan Batu Gantung junction.

It was reported that Frank said the last contact he had with her was a frantic phone call from her saying she was being harassed by people asking for her passport, which she had left in the hotel room.

Anyone with information can send a WhatsApp message to +61 40038 1593 (Greg).
