Buyers move before tax holiday ends
KUALA LUMPUR: Visitors to the 2018 CarSifu Auto Show took the opportunity to place their orders before the end of the tax holiday period and the introduction of the Sales and Service Tax (SST) in September.
“I want to buy a second car and since I am here with my family, I decided to book a car at the show. Car prices right now are good value for money too,” said Leong Wei Chuet who booked a Mazda CX-5 SUV.
The 2018 CarSifu Auto Show is being held at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC) at Mid Valley Megamall from today to Aug 26, 10am to 9pm daily.
Visitors who book their cars at the show stand a chance to win a Sharp Aquos 60-inch 4K television units with Easy Smart and 10 units of Sharp Plasmacluster Car Ion Generators as Sharp Malaysia is the prize sponsor for the Book and Win contest.
Despite high volume sales of cars for the months of June and July previously, the show is still drawing crowds who are fascinated by the wheels on display.
Participating auto marques include Subaru, Mazda, Nissan, Renault, Kia, Peugeot, Citroen, Proton, Isuzu and Volvo, and visitors can expect special deals for the latest budget and premium sedans, SUVs/crossovers, hatches and multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs).
Besides cars, the show also features a trendy apparel exhibition by Camel Active and property developer Sunsuria Bhd is also promoting its iconic Sunsuria Forum freehold mixed-integrated development located in Setia Alam, Shah Alam.
The 2018 CarSifu Auto Show’s official fuel partner is Petron Malaysia while official tyre partners are Toyo Tyre and Silverstone.
Petron Malaysia is also giving away Petron gift cards (each pre-loaded with RM10) to 500 lucky visitors as well as a 20% discount for purchases of Petron engine oil (two packs and above).
Toyo Tyre and Silverstone have activities at the auto show which include talks on tyre care and games.
