Star once dreamt of becoming profession­al pla ayer

ACTOR Syafiq Kyle (pic) forked out almost RM50,000 to form his own football club, which he has named Challo FC, reported Harian Metro.

The Nur drama star said as he did not get to realise his dream of becoming a profession­al football player, he decided to form the club a year ago.

“I use my own pocket money to prepare all the players’ necessitie­s. For now, we will enter small leagues and play friendly matches within and outside the country,” he said.

Besides Syafiq, the club lists other artistes as its permanent players such as Aedy Ashraf, Ikmal Amry and Harris Anuar.

Challo FC is planning to hold a friend- ly match against Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim.

More than 1,000 people convened at Masjid Makmur, Kampung Losong Dato’ Amar in Kuala Terengganu on Wednesday morning to witness the animal being slaughtere­d.

Badan Ukhuwah Darul Iman chairman Zul Fadzli Hassan said the cow was bought from a farmer in Terengganu for RM14,000 and its meat was distribute­d to 2,000 villagers.

Ning, who was senile and suffered from asthma, had often talked about ending his life as he could no longer stand his illness.
