Adam aims for a good race
SILVERSTONE: Moto3 rider Adam Norrodin (pic) will dig deep to give another good show at the Silverstone track when he competes in the British Motorcycle Grand Prix this weekend.
Adam had a good run in Silverstone last year, which was one of his best races last season.
The 20-year-old has finished without points in the last two races at the Austria and Czech Republic Grand Prix and needs to find a way to get back to his best.
He will be hoping to have a similar or an even better finish at the track where he has some fond memories from last year when he finished 12th on race day after starting at 25th on the grid.
He is currently placed at 21st in the Moto3 standings with 24 points.
The Malaysian rider has only eight races left starting in Silverstone to improve his position in the standings.
“I feel really fresh going to Silverstone. I’ve been training hard for this weekend,” said Adam after going through his practice session.
“The Silverstone track is a combination of fast straights and has the stop and go characteristics. I’m prepared,” said Adam.
“It’s not the easiest circuit, but I had a good race there last year when I went from 25th to finish 12th. It was probably one of my best races in 2017.
“One of the main things I need to focus on this weekend is my qualifying.
“I know that I can race well on this track, so I need to make sure that I start from a good position and have the best possible chance to fight with the front guys,” he added.
