RM1 for chicken rice – only for loyal customers

-

A RESTAURANT in Johor Baru will sell chicken rice for RM1 per plate as a token of appreciation for its loyal customers, reported China Press.

The Cemara Urban Restaurant opened 13 years ago. According to Facebook postings, it will be offering 500 plates of chicken rice at RM1 daily from 11am to 1am.

The offer is for dinein customers only. Takeaways will cost RM6.

The restaurant manager said despite only costing RM1, the taste and quality of the chicken rice would remain the same.

> The daily also reported that actor Ruco Chan, one of Hong Kong TVB’s most eligible bachelors, will be tying the knot soon.

The 41yearold said he would marry budding actress Phoebe Sin, 28, next month.

The former Miss Hong Kong said she only accepted Chan’s proposal after he asked her a second time.

In an interview with Ming Pao, Sin said he proposed with a heartshaped ring made of paper when they were in Hong Kong, but she rejected him as “it lacked sincerity”.

“My heart said yes, but my mouth said no,” said Sin.

“After that, we went for a holiday in England. I didn’t know that he had arranged a bridal shoot until we were ready to set off.

“At the shoot, he went down on one knee in front of a doubledecker bus to propose again,” she said.

> Sin Chew reported that TVB actress Leanne Li has announced that she is expecting a baby girl.

Li, who is married to fellow artiste Wong Cho Lam, uploaded a picture of her baby bump on social media with the word “baby girl” on it.

“I am very happy ... I have not bought all the baby’s essentials yet. The nursery is still under renovation,” the 33yearold wrote.

Li and Wong dated for nine years
