LONDON: Match-by-match facts and statistics ahead of the Premier League matches this week.

● Tomorrow Tottenham vs Liverpool

TOTTENHAM have beaten Liverpool 14 times in 52 Premier League meetings, including 12 victories at home.

Spurs are looking to respond to a 2-1 defeat by Watford last time out while Liverpool can extend their perfect start.

Three goals will ensure this becomes the Premier League’s highest-scoring fixture, overtaking the 151 goals scored in games between Everton and Arsenal.

Matches between these two teams have resulted in 22 penalties, the most in the competitio­n’s history.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane has been involved in seven goals from as many matches in this fixture. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah struck three times against Tottenham last season.

Bournemout­h vs Leicester

BOURNEMOUT­H are yet to lose to Leicester in the Premier League, winning once and drawing five matches.

Both teams lost their last game, with Leicester falling 2-1 to Liverpool while Bournemout­h were beaten 2-0 at Chelsea.

Chelsea vs Cardiff

Chelsea are looking to extend their perfect start to the Premier League season and deny promoted Cardiff a first win.

Chelsea have won 10 of their last 12 league meetings with Cardiff, including two in the Premier League.

Under new boss Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea have attempted 2,996 passes and completed 2,677, more than any other team this season.

Spaniard Pedro, who has scored three times in his last four matches for Chelsea, is set to make his 100th league appearance.

Cardiff are without a win in their last six games in all competitio­ns for their worst run under manager Neil Warnock.

Huddersfie­ld vs Crystal Palace

PALACE are seeking to end a run of three straight defeats since beating Fulham 2-0 on the opening weekend of the season.

David Wagner’s Huddersfie­ld are searching for their first league win in nine games after losing four and drawing four.

Palace have lost the last 12 league matches that forward Wilfried Zaha has not played.

Manchester City v Fulham

FULHAM have won only four times in 26 previous Premier League meetings with City.

City are looking to extend their unbeaten run this season to five matches.

City’s last home defeat to a promoted team in the league was in February 2007, when they were beaten by Reading.

City striker Sergio Aguero has scored 27 league goals in 34 matches against promoted sides.

There have been 16 goals in four league matches involving Fulham this season. They have scored seven and conceded nine.

Newcastle vs Arsenal

ARSENAL have won 26 out of their 46 Premier League meetings with Newcastle, including 17 wins on the road.

Newcastle ended a 10-game losing run in the league against Arsenal with a 2-1 victory in this fixture last season.

Rafa Benitez’ Newcastle have one point from four matches this season following a goalless draw with Cardiff. They have lost by a 2-1 scoreline to Tottenham, Chelsea and City.

Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette has been involved in seven goals in his last five league starts.

Watford vs Manchester United

WATFORD’S only Premier League victory against United in 10 matches was a 3-1 home win in September 2016.

Another victory would give Watford a club record five wins from their opening five matches.

United boss Jose Mourinho enjoys a good record against Watford, winning five of his six league clashes with them.

Romelu Lukaku can score his 20th league goal for United in his 39th game. Only Ruud van Nistelrooy (26 matches), Robin van Persie (32) and Dwight Yorke (34) reached the figure faster.

United’s Alexis Sanchez has scored three and assisted three in five league matches against Watford.

● Sunday Wolverhamp­ton vs Burnley

WOLVES have beaten Burnley in both their previous Premier League meetings during the 2009-2010 season.

Wolves secured their first victory of the season last time out while Burnley are winless in four games.

Burnley have not won a Premier League away game against a promoted side in 10 attempts, drawing six and losing four.

Wolves have lost two out of 28 home matches in all competitio­ns under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Everton vs West Ham

IN 44 Premier League meetings, West Ham have managed to beat Everton eight times, with three of those away from home.

Everton have drawn three out of four matches this season while West Ham hope to end a poor run of four straight losses.

Chilean Manuel Pellegrini is the first West Ham boss to lose his first four league matches in charge since Avram Grant.

● Monday Southampto­n vs Brighton

SOUTHAMPTO­N have won four and drawn two of their six Premier League home games against teams from the south coast.

Chris Hughton has managed only one win as manager in nine matches against Southampto­n.

Brighton striker Glenn Murray found the net in both 1-1 league draws against Southampto­n last season.
