Nude photos return to haunt ex-girlfriend
KUALA LUMPUR: To satisfy her ex-boyfriend’s “sexual needs”, 21-year-old Coey is now paying the price. He has been blackmailing her with 20 nude photos of herself.
After completing their diploma in business studies, college lovebirds Coey and Govan (not their real names) went back to their hometowns.
Early this year, the couple separated due to differences, after which Govan threatened Coey twice that he would expose her nude photos to force her to return to him.
Not wanting to continue the relationship, Coey ignored Govan.
“He threatened to commit suicide and sent me pictures of sleeping pills,” Coey said at a press conference held by MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong at Wisma MCA yesterday.
She said the nightmare began when two of Coey’s girlfriends told her that they had received seminude photos of her from a Facebook user.
“I loved him very much and that’s why I sent him the nude pictures although we were in a long-distance relationship. I asked him to delete the photos after that,” she said.
Coey knew from the beginning what she did was wrong.
“I’m very sad, I should not have done that,” said Coey, who wore a mask and a cap.
Chong advised victims not to fight alone but seek help from their families or NGOs.
