Politician having an affair with my wife, claims soldier

A SOLDIER has accused a “Datuk”, said to be a division leader of a political party, of having an affair with his wife, reported China Press.

Besides buying her a car, the 49-year-old even provided her with accommodation and money.

The soldier, 31, lodged a police report in Cyberjaya on Monday.

He hoped the case would be referred to the Syariah court.

The soldier said his wife had been behaving suspiciously since August, adding he had tailed his wife from their Tun Razak flats in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, to an apartment in Cyberjaya.

He said his wife had been wanting a divorce since she befriended the “Datuk”.

Lee Wei Quan, 65, sells newspapers in the day to earn a living and cares for his bed-ridden father, 90, at night.

The wheelchair-bound Lee has been working from 9am to 11pm daily for the past four years.

He had to quit his job as a truck driver after a huge water pipe fell on him at a factory five years ago. His left leg had to be amputated.

“God took away one of my legs but spared me my life. I must appreciate that,” he was quoted as saying by the daily.

After being discharged from hospital, Lee switched to selling newspapers for a living.

“I have to help my father brush his teeth and wash his face, change his diapers and cook for both of us,” he said.

Although his movement was restricted, Lee said it did not affect his daily routine as he could still care for his father like before.

A group of volunteers helps him look after his father at a welfare home before sending him home at night.
