Star Health Fun Run now open to 7,000 runners

GEORGE TOWN: Put on your running shoes because it is time to “run” for good health again.

The popular annual Fit For Life Fun Run is now re-branded as the Star Health Fun Run.

Once again, runners will face the challenge of pumping their legs up the hill at Jalan Tun Dr Awang beside the army camp.

The 9.5km route starts at Jalan Mahsuri in front of Olive Tree Hotel and the flag-off is at 7.30am on Nov 3.

This year’s event will be open to 7,000 runners of all ages.

About 4,000 participants have been taking part in the run each year since it began in 2015.

Registration fee is RM25 for adults and RM15 for children aged between seven and 17.

It will also be RM15 for students registering under their schools.

The top three schools with the highest participation will receive book vouchers.

Every runner will get a goodie bag, micro-fibre T-shirt, a certificate of participation and a finisher medal to boot.

They will be led through a warmup session before the flag off.

Runners will have access to a water station midway to rehydrate themselves.

After the run, the much-anticipated lucky draw session offering attractive prizes will be held in SPICE Arena, where the Star Health Expo will take place.
