Assistant News Editor Loh Foon Fong’s coverage on financial assistance for Hepatitis C patients won Consolation Prize in the Print Media and News Portal (English Language) category.

In his speech, Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the awards were an initiative by its Education Division to commemorate the media’s contributions in covering health issues and the ministry.

“The ministry’s duties are based on the delivery of services patterned after incentives, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation that is efficient, effective and appropriate for each level, including promoting healthy habits.

“In this context, communication is much needed to ensure information awareness and continued disease prevention for citizens,” said Dr Dzulkefly.
