Shutterbugs explore ‘Street of Harmony’
GEORGE TOWN: Avid shutterbugs had a fun evening out exploring the ‘Street of Harmony’ with British Australian freelance travel photographer Kimberley Anderson.
More than 40 of them armed with their cameras explored various multi-cultural attractions within the George Town heritage enclave such as the Goddess of Mercy Temple, Kapitan Keling Mosque, Sri Mariamman Temple and the St George’s Church, which are located along the street symbolising four main religions of Penang.
They also took a quick tour around Little India where flower garland makers tie and hang colourful flowers outside the stalls.
They then took photographs inside the Goddess of Mercy Temple.
Anderson, 37, said the photo walk was in conjunction with the Scott Kelby’s Annual Worldwide photo walk organised on the first Saturday of October every year.
“This is a great way for creative photographers to meet, talk and shoot photos together.
“They will be part of over 10,000 photographers leading over 950 walks worldwide, and here in Penang we experience great music, food, culture all wrapped in one location,” said Anderson, who is on a two-month visit to Penang.
Among those who also joined the walk was American photographer Matt Brandon, 59, who assisted Anderson with briefing and guiding the local photographers on techni-
