> Well done
Congratulations to Vishal Chopra on making it to this year’s World Championship Of Performing Arts at Long Beach, California. Our country needs more people like him to enhance the music scene of Malaysia. – Hamid Khan, Penang
> Be good citizens
We cast our votes for the big change. It happened. We can also help by paying our PTPTN loans and traffic summonses. – Kris
> In short supply
Last week, I went to replenish my monthly medical supply at Selayang Hospital. To my surprise, I was only given two weeks’ supply of Valsartan 80mg. Previously, the hospital gave three months’ supply, and then one month. Now, it’s just two weeks. This is a grave inconvenience for senior citizens like me who have to travel a long distance to replenish our supply. – SK Ong
> Simply fantastic
Keep it up, Pakatan Harapan government. Thanks for the good news about the reduction in broadband charges. How about looking into our electricity bills too? – Murali Sundareson

> Crow problem
The crow menace at Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Skudai is unbearable. The number of crows has multiplied drastically. The local council should curb the ever-increasing number of crows, which make the lives of residents miserable. The council should either eradicate the crow population or keep the town clean. – Aponi

On most occasions, spilling of concrete happens on road slopes. To catch the culprits, just install closed circuit TV cameras in these areas.
> No whipping
Whipping of children, “Civil whipping is more severe” ( The Star, Oct 8)? You’ve got to be joking. What sort of society do we aspire to be? Barbaric and backward – a laughing stock for the rest of the world – or humane, thoughtful and temperate?
> Delayed submission
Some Indian temple registration staff who attended to weddings last year have yet to submit the marriage certificates to the National Registration Department. This is causing problems to the couples involved. Do the needful, for goodness sake. – MCR
