All quiet on the Kelana Jaya LRT Line

-

AS a regular user of the LRT Kelana Jaya Line, I’m very upset with the way Prasarana is operating the line. One main issue that bothers me is the near absence of announcements in the trains to say what the next station is.

This may seem like a small issue but I feel very sorry for the blind people who take the LRT usually at KL Sentral. When there are no announcements on what the next station is, they have to ask from other passengers like myself. Of course, we don’t mind helping them but why is Prasarana making the lives of these OKU so difficult?

When the announcements are made, they are not consistent and would skip certain stations. And sometimes the doors of the trains don’t beep when they are closing.

I’m very upset over the plight of the OKU in this matter.

Why is the public address system in the trains always breaking down? Sometimes I also see foreign tourists getting confused because they don’t know what the next station is as there is no announcement.

Furthermore, the dynamic map displays in some of the newer trains don’t work. Why are we making the lives of people using public transport so difficult?

I hope Prasarana will fix this problem in its Kelana Jaya Line trains immediately, bearing in mind that this is the busiest LRT network. It would be better if there are two announcements per station as is done in the MRT trains. ST Subang Jaya
