Incident recorded outside mall and goes viral

-

POLICE chased away a man said to have roughed up a woman carrying a newborn outside a shopping mall in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.

China Press reported that the man was filmed grabbing the woman by the shoulder and forcing her to follow him home.

He was also seen knocking her head a few times and pulling her hair during the Oct 10 incident.

The woman, who was sobbing and in fear, is said to be in confinement.

A female doctor recorded the scene before uploading it to her Twitter account. She said the man had earlier told the woman at a restaurant to follow her home.

He then dragged her out of the restaurant to “resolve problems”. The doctor, together with security guards and restaurant workers, followed them.

Police who came 15 minutes later then chased the man away.

The doctor, in her Twitter post, said: “I realised the woman is only 22 while the man is her ‘future’ husband.”

> Guang Ming Daily reported that Hannah Quinlivan, the wife of Taiwanese mandopop star Jay Chou, is said to have been injured during a movie shoot in Malaysia.

She uploaded a picture of her bandaged left palm on Instagram, with the accompanying caption “Have to get hurt before you can get stronger”.

Chou did not comment on the post. But he put up a picture of him having pearl milk tea with his buddy Darren Chiu on Instagram the same day.

Hannah left a response to his post, asking him to get her the same drink.

Chou then surprised his wife with the beverage on that night at the filming site.

Hannah was delighted.

She posted: “Thanks for the visit with pearl milk tea.”
