Man finding Mr Right for Russian mum-in-law

-

BEIJING: Having been happily married for one year, a man surnamed Lu began to look for Mr Right for his Russian mother-in-law.

Lu, 28, opened his own media company in Changchun, capital of southeastern Jilin province in China, after graduating from Changchun University in 2013.

In 2017, he met Valentina, a Russian, on social media.

The couple expressed admiration for each other after two weeks.

“I can’t speak Russian while she knows little Chinese. It was a little difficult in the beginning,” said Lu.

“Thanks to translation software, we could understand each other.”

Three months later, Lu got the chance to go to Russia for business, after which Lu visited Valentina and won her heart.

After a short meeting, they had to bid farewell.

To Lu’s surprise, Valentina came to Changchun in August without informing him in advance.

They got married immediately and welcomed their baby in May.

“I really love China and my mother also enjoys the life in China,” said Valentina.

“My parents got divorced when I was four, so I hope she can begin her new life by my side.”

“My mother-in-law is graceful and we decided to look for her a Mr Right through the Internet,” said Lu. — China Daily/Asia News Network
