Nur Aisyah said that she has proven herself in Sukma that she can compete in both the road race as well as the track events.

“My dream is to be the best woman cyclist in the country. To achieve that, I must do well in all domestic and international competitions I compete in.

“I also want to feature in the Olympics and I hope that I will get to go for overseas training,” said Nur Aisyah, who won the individual road time trial, individual road race, criterium, scratch, individual pursuit, team pursuit and keirin at the Sukma.

She featured in the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games last year but did not win a medal.

Nur Aisyah, who is trained by Syed Mohamed Hussaini for the last five years, said that her challenge next year is to win a medal in the Philippines SEA Games.

“There is no track events in the Philippines, so I will focus on the road race. It will be interesting to see where I stand among the road cyclists in South-East Asia,” she said.
