A 59-year-old cleaner, K. Kamala, and her male friend S. Silvaraja, 51, were found dead with slash wounds on the third floor of the flat in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah.

On a separate matter, Comm Mohd Khalil said drug syndicates in the state had set up laboratories in secluded areas in villages and plantations to avoid police radar.

Previously, they would operate in high-end condominiums in Johor Baru.

Comm Mohd Khalil said Johor police had disposed of 66.43kg of drugs and seized 60 litres of cough syrup from 2009 until 2016. The amount totalled RM9.8mil.
