Rozita gives Hetty’s designer a dressing down

-

THERE is quite a stir in local showbusiness following actress Rozita Che Wan’s (pic) online posts that another celebrity had worn a gown that resembled hers, Kosmo! Ahad reported.

The posts, shared on Rozita’s Instagram Stories, showed the gown she wore in July and another one, which looked similar, put on by singer Hetty Sharlene recently.

Rozita’s assumption was that Hetty’s dress designer had lifted the idea from Rizman Ruzaini, who made her dress.

Rozita, 45, said she was not envious that Hetty put on something similar. “But to me, fashion designers should have ideas for their own creations,” she added.

The report quoted Fifi, the designer of Hetty’s dress, as saying she was unaware that her creation looked the same as Rizman’s.

Fifi said she had not copied other designs and that Hetty’s dress was created after discussing with the singer.

> A sun bear, believed to have been damaging the stingless bee nests kept by farmers, has been caught in a village in Pekan, Pahang.

Villager Mazrul Arif Osman, 43, told Metro Ahad and BH Ahad that he had sought the Wildlife and National Parks Department’s (Perhilitan) help to set up a trap two months ago.

This came about because the nests for the bees to produce madu kelulut and other fruits had been destroyed by the bear, he said.

Pahang Perhilitan director Ahmad Azhar Mohammed said the male sun bear that was caught in Kampung Pulau Rusa was about 12 years old.

“We let it go at the Sungai Relau Merapoh National Park in Lipis so that it could live freely in a natural surrounding,” he said.

> Asean Rohingya Centre, a non-profit centre based in Kuala Lumpur, claimed that millions of ringgit collected in Malaysia had “disappeared”, Mingguan Malaysia reported.

Its executive director Dr Helmi Ibrahim said several funds had been set up to help the Rohingya community by various quarters.

“However, many ( of the Rohingya) said they have not received any aid till now,” he said.

“Have you ever seen any ceremony to present the aid?” he asked.
