> Kosmo! reported that a married couple was beaten up by a man who called himself a “Datuk Seri” in front of a restaurant in Kajang, Selangor.

The victim parked his motorcycle at the parking bay after dropping off his wife at the restaurant on Thursday. A man in a BMW drove up and knocked over the motorcycle. The driver then proceeded to swear at the motorcyclist.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the victim and his wife wanted to leave but the suspect punched him and pushed his wife to the ground.

“The victim made a police report but he retracted it a few hours later,” he said.

However, he said the police would still investigate the case despite the victim withdrawing the report.

The police, he said, would also verify whether the attacker was actually a “Datuk Seri”.
