Royalty grace Four Seasons Hotel KL grand opening
KUALA LUMPUR: Fireworks lit up the night sky on Sunday with the official opening of Kuala Lumpur’s third tallest building.
The 65-storey Four Seasons Hotel is the latest luxury hotel to dot the city’s glittering cosmopolitan skyline.
The grand opening was officiated by Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and the guest of honour was Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Nazrin Shah, who is performing the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur general manager Tom Roelens in his speech said “with the opening of Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur, we redefined the dynamic city with an awe-inspiring 65-storey architecture masterpiece, which is now Malaysia’s third tallest building”.
Also present were VIPs and celebrities including Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad, Selangor Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari and Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhkriz Mahathir.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous sit-down dinner at the elaborately decorated grand ballroom on Level 6A, where singer Syafinaz Selamat mesmerised them with a supercharged performance.
The night ended with a spectacular fireworks show at the Residence’s Pool Deck on Level 7B.
Located in the heart of the Golden Triangle next to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Four Seasons boasts 209 rooms and suites, 27 serviced apartments and private residences.
