ACTRESS Nina Iskandar says she wants to lay off sad roles for a while, reported Kosmo!.

“Truth be told, I don’t even like such roles but I am constantly entrusted (by directors) to play these characters,” said Nina, 27, whose real name is Nur Akmalina Iskandar.

In the drama series Andainya Takdir, Nina’s part was that of a domestic violence victim. And she was a wife neglected by her hus- band in Isteri Dalam Sangkar.

While shooting Isteri Dalam Sangkar, she said she felt depressed and became a bit anti-social due to the emotional strain of being in character.

“There were scenes where I was bullied. This was filmed continuously without breaks. The shooting took hours, from midnight until the early hours of the morning,” she said.

She said that she will decline such roles for a while as she is worried about her mental well-being.

“It is quite damaging to yourself, especially emotionally,” she said.

> Harian Metro reported about a one-day Break-Up Exhibition on Monday which showcased items from relationships that have ended.

The exhibition at Sunway University, held for the first time in the country, featured about 60 items donated by people in their 20s.

Organised by the university’s Psychology Association, the exhibi- tion was aimed at helping those who were feeling down about their break-ups.

Psychology lecturer Meng Zhen Lim said items such as a teddy bear, a necklace, and even an empty beer bottle were exhibited accompanied with notes from the owners, detailing their break-up stories.

“In this way, they can express how they feel without resorting to drastic steps (to get over the relationship) such as suicide,” she added.
