New lightweight Adila shaft on the Asian market
ALDILA has introduced the midlaunching, mid-spinning Quaranta Sapphire Wood Series shaft for the Asian market.
Commenting on the move, Sukhvinder Singh of Vin Golf, the distributors of the shafts in Malaysia, said “its smooth bend profile provides a responsive tip and mid-section that is balanced by a more stable butt-section.
“This version is a lighter weight and has a lower torque than the Quaranta Blue Series,” he added.
Adila Product Development programme manager Zane NuttalI added: “It is a true testament to the material development we’ve been able to go through the last couple of years, that the 50g structures of today are equally, if not more, stable than the 60g parts of five to 10 years ago.
“This shaft comes with ion plating and high-modulus MR70 carbon fiber that helps it launch lower and with a flatter ball flight.”
The shaft is stable and precision-crafted and is an improvement on the original high-performance, sub-50g shaft, said Nuttall.
“Ultralight shafts often give up strength, flex, torsional stiffness and overall stability,” said Nuttall. “But with the incorporation of the NexGen Micro Laminate Technology it is a high performance shaft. By optimising structure and material placement, the Aldila Quaranta Series offers optimum flex and torque characteristics for better players while still maintaining the feel that players of all abilities need.
The new Aldila Quaranta Sapphire Wood Series is for players looking to maximise club head speed or launch at a higher trajectory without sacrificing stability.
