Winners of fresh breath campaign
THE winners of Fresh Breath For Malaysia, a creative youth empowerment and digital communication campaign have been announced.
Guardian Malaysia is working with Limkokwing University of Creative Technology on its campaign, in conjunction with the introduction of Guardian’s new mouthwash range.
The campaign’s goal is to empower Limkokwing University of Creative Technology students to creatively interpret the theme of Fresh Breath for Malaysia as a showcase of positive energy towards the nation while encouraging better oral hygiene through visual expression and multimedia.
The top 10 students across two categories received a total of RM14,000 in cash prizes for their impressive efforts.The winning entries were selected by an industry panel and online voting.
In the print category, Lim Wei Xuan was named winner and received RM3,000 while the runner-up Yuki Inada received RM2,000, Sara Moeti was third and won RM1,000 while Zarul Ikmal Razi Aziz and Sharanraj Valachandra won RM500 in consolation prizes each.
The multimedia category saw Goh Ling Hua bagging the first prize of RM3,000 with Kheerthana Baripooranum receiving RM2,000 as the runner-up. In third place was Ghalib Mohammed Ali Talib who was awarded RM1,000 while Kim SooHyun and the team of Hen Ee Lin and James Wendy Kusuma, won consolation prizes of RM500 each.
A total of 164 entries were received for the digital communication campaign within three weeks.
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology senior vice president (Industry Empowerment) Datuk Raja Aznil Raja Hisham said the campaign prepared students for their future careers with real world experience.
“Participation for this campaign was very high, and the quality of work was impressive.
“The finalists did the university proud with their efforts,” he said.
More importantly, he added, they proved that they have the creativity, talent and skills to create professional-level campaigns in a short time period, exactly what they will be experiencing when they move into their chosen fields.
“What our students gain from this collaborative campaign with Guardian Malaysia is industry exposure, which prepares them for their future careers,” he said.
Guardian Malaysia Group Health & Beauty product manager Michelle Yeap said that the quality of entries was high, while the winning entries were exceptional.
“We created this campaign in collaboration with Limkokwing University of Creative Technology to empower youth to give their own perspective on real world issues.
“The students used this platform to create highly engaging campaigns. which are of professional quality and showcased the Guardian Fresh Mouth 6 Actions mouthwash range effectively,” said Yeap who is a Limkokwing University of Creative Technology alumna.
