Actor recounts his controversial past in translated memoir

JACKIE Chan’s controversial past resurfaces in his memoir Never Grow Up, which has been translated into English, Oriental Daily reported.

The book chronicles his proud moments as well as the absurd things he did in his youth as the Hong Kong action star takes a brutally honest look back on his life.

In the memoir, Chan, 64, calls himself a “total jerk” for his behaviour as a young adult, such as wasting money on drinking, gambling and prostitution.

Cash then gave him a sense of security and he was always surrounded by people, he writes.

The original Chinese version was released in 2015.

The Hong Kong actress quipped that her friends might need to line up for a month to celebrate her birthday with her.

“We do not talk about money, it is the thought that counts,” she said.

But the man, 35, who works in the service industry, was devastated when he learnt that the masseuse was cheating on him with two other men, according to the report.

Chow said he got to know the 34-year-old masseuse in July after he visited the massage parlour to ease his intense work pressure.

The masseuse, meanwhile, said Chow had recorded a video of him taking pills to attempt suicide, with a note: “Goodbye, I will love you forever.”

Asked about this, Chow said he was saddened and became irrational but had no intention of committing suicide or threatening the woman.
