Get ready for a nightmare in Bangkok, warns Thai keeper

-

PETALING JAYA: Thailand goalkeeper Chatchai Budprom has promised to give the Harimau Malaya a nightmare in the second leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok tonight.

Malaysia and Thailand played out a goalless draw in the first leg at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil last Saturday, which saw Tan Cheng Hoe’s men dominating the match with attacking tactics.

The progression to the final is finely poised and Chatchai ramped up the mind games as the hosts look to progress to the final to defend their AFF Suzuki Cup crown.

“I wish Malaysia a good sleep tonight because I believe they will experience the nightmare tomorrow ... I am sure of that,” said the 31-yearold custodian in the pre-match press conference in Bangkok yesterday.

“Malaysia produced a good display in the first game, giving us a tough time at their home ground, but tomorrow will be the other way around.

“I think they are well aware of what they will be facing ... different atmosphere, different people and place which will make them realise that they are in Thailand where all the fans support the War Elephants.”

Meanwhile, Malaysian midfielder Syamer Kutty Abba who picked up the Man of the Match award in the first leg, said his teammates are looking forward to come out victorious and advance to the final.

“We are ready, we dominated the first leg but the match ended with a 0-0 draw. We know that the match (tonight) will be tough,” said the 21-year-old.
